India’s packaging industry registered a 4.9% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.83% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.43% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.31% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.05% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s packaging industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 47% in August 2022, registering a 53.61% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 19.87% share, a decrease of 1.56% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 18.3%, registering an 18.31% decline from July 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 12.62%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 40.31% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s packaging industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Charoen Pokphand Foods Public posted 50 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 25% over the previous month, followed by L’Oreal with 49 jobs and a flat growth. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 30 IT jobs and Panasonic with 29 jobs, recorded a 43.4% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Unilever recorded an increase of 228.57% with 23 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.61%, up by 21.39% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.14% share, registered a decline of 5.63% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.31% share, up 11.11% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.95%, recording a month-on-month increase of 200%.
