Mexico’s packaging industry registered an 8.9% drop in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 15.64% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.05% share in December 2021, recording a decrease of 0.06% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 102.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s packaging industry in December 2021.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 37.21% in December 2021, registering a 60% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 34.88% share, a decrease of 16.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 16.28%, registering a 600% rise from November 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 9.3%, down 20% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 7.69% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s packaging industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
The Coca-Cola posted 8 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 700% over the previous month, followed by Panasonic with 8 jobs and an 11.11% drop. PepsiCo with 8 IT jobs and British American Tobacco with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 66.67% decrease, respectively, while The Procter & Gamble recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.77%, up by 50% from November 2021. Entry Level positions with a 20.93% share, registered an increase of 80% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.3% share, down 63.64% over November 2021.
