May 2022 has seen a decrease of 3.89% in the overall hiring activity when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 2.66% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering an increase of 0.33% over the last three-month average share.

Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in May 2022

Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 28.57% in May 2022, a 50% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 28.57% in May 2022, marking an 85.37% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 19.05% in May 2022, a 33.33% rise from April 2022.

Top five packaging companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 140% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s packaging industry during May 2022 over previous month.

The Bidvest Group posted 4 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 100% over the previous month, followed by Compagnie Financiere Richemont with 2 jobs and a 100% growth. The Body Shop International with 2 IT jobs and Almarai with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Mondelez International recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during May 2022.
