Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 32.14% in November 2021, a 25% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 28.57% in November 2021, marking a 20% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 14.29% in November 2021, a 100% rise from October 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 62.5% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s packaging industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Scandinavian Tobacco Group posted 3 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Diageo with 3 jobs and a 200% growth. The Procter & Gamble with 3 IT jobs and Saputo with 2 jobs, recorded a 40% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Heineken recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s packaging industry
South Africa commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 32.14% share in November 2021, an 18.18% decrease over October 2021. Egypt featured next with a 17.86% share, flat growth over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded a 10.71% share, a growth of 200% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50%, down by 6.67% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 28.57% share, registered a decline of 11.11% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 21.43% share, up 20% over October 2021.
