Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 47.67% in November 2021, an 11.77% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 17.87% in November 2021, marking a 0.45% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.12% in November 2021, a 4.12% drop from October 2021.

Top five packaging companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 5.23% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s packaging industry during November 2021 over previous month.
Ball posted 179 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a decline of 21.15% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 59 jobs and a 37.21% growth. Haier Group with 55 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 54 jobs, recorded a 358.33% rise and a 5.88% rise, respectively, while PepsiCo recorded a 16.67% increase with 35 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s packaging industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 93.48% share in November 2021, a 6.97% decrease over October 2021. Canada featured next with a 3.78% share, up 42.42% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 2.74% share, a drop of 40.35% compared with October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.25%, down by 3.27% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.38% share, registered a decline of 11.46% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.32% share, down 12.41% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.05%, recording a month-on-month decline of 13.33%.
