Top five packaging companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 9.51% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s packaging industry during December 2021 over previous month.

Ball posted 177 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a decline of 1.67% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 83 jobs and a 137.14% growth. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 51 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 40 jobs, recorded a 13.56% drop and a 25.93% drop, respectively, while Nestle recorded a 52.63% increase with 29 job postings during December 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s packaging industry

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 92.75% share in December 2021, a 13.08% decrease over November 2021. Mexico featured next with a 3.9% share, up 19.44% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 3.35% share, a drop of 22.92% compared with November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.49%, down by 19.92% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.11% share, registered a decline of 2.12% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 20.85% share, down 4.96% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.54%, recording a month-on-month growth of 30.77%.
