Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 32.53% in August 2022, a 28.57% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 26.51% in August 2022, marking a 12% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 25.3% in August 2022, a 5% rise from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 26.47% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s packaging industry during August 2022 over previous month.
BRF posted 12 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Amcor with 11 jobs and a 175% growth. Anheuser-Busch InBev with 8 IT jobs and The Procter & Gamble with 6 jobs, recorded a 20% drop and a 25% drop, respectively, while PepsiCo recorded a 100% increase with 6 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s packaging industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 51.81% share in August 2022, a 16.22% increase over July 2022. Peru featured next with a 15.66% share, up 333.33% over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 10.84% share, a growth of 28.57% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.52%, down by 13.16% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.84% share, registered a growth of 80% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.64% share, down 57.89% over July 2022.
