Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 25.26% in July 2022, a 4% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 22.11% in July 2022, marking a 27.59% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 21.05% in July 2022, a 5.26% rise from June 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 51.61% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s packaging industry during July 2022 over previous month.
GraceKennedy posted 12 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Anheuser-Busch InBev with 10 jobs and an 11.11% growth. BRF with 9 IT jobs and JBS with 8 jobs, recorded a 28.57% rise and a 166.67% rise, respectively, while Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s packaging industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 38.95% share in July 2022, a 5.71% increase over June 2022. Colombia featured next with an 18.95% share, up 200% over the previous month. Jamaica recorded a 13.68% share, a growth of 8.33% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.84%, down by 10.98% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.89% share, registered a growth of 142.86% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.26% share, down 37.5% over June 2022.
