May 2022 has seen an increase of 3.21% in the overall hiring activity when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 1.63% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering an increase of 0.31% over the last three-month average share.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in May 2022

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 29.85% in May 2022, a 233.33% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 28.36% in May 2022, marking an 111.11% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 20.9% in May 2022, a 7.69% rise from April 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 100% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s packaging industry during May 2022 over previous month.

GraceKennedy posted 11 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered an increase of 266.67% over the previous month, followed by Anheuser-Busch InBev with 8 jobs and a 300% growth. L’Oreal with 6 IT jobs and The Procter & Gamble with 6 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Kimberly-Clark recorded a 28.57% decline with 5 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.1%, up by 32.5% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.93% share, registered a growth of 150% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.97% share, up 100% over April 2022.
