The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.84% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.24% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.84% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.97% in February 2022, registering a 28.77% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.97% share, an increase of 12% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 16.36%, registering a 27.03% decline from January 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.45%, down 18.18% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 22.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s packaging industry during February 2022 over January 2022.
Fujitsu General posted 64 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 48.84% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 16 jobs and a 30.43% drop. Carlsberg with 9 IT jobs and Reckitt Benckiser Group with 9 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 12.5% growth, respectively, while Diageo recorded an increase of 16.67% with 7 job postings during February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.48%, down by 1.74% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.82% share, registered an increase of 12.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.48% share, down 17.65% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.21%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
