The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.18% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.35% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 18.47% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
Nestle posted 441 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 30.09% over the previous month, followed by The J. R. Simplot with 108 jobs and a 53.45% drop. Rich Products with 67 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 66 jobs, recorded a 63.59% decline and a 34% decrease, respectively, while PepsiCo recorded an increase of 12.24% with 55 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.04%, down by 19.61% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.6% share, registered a decline of 26.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.14% share, down 10.51% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.22%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
