The US’s packaging industry registered a 12.0% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.82% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.35% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.22% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 36.52% in November 2022, registering a 34.03% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 22.84% share, a decrease of 32.95% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 18.58%, registering a 32.08% decline from October 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 10.06%, down 28.44% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 3.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Ball posted 101 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 17.21% over the previous month, followed by J. R. Simplot with 62 jobs and a 16.22% drop. Nestle with 47 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 46 jobs, recorded a 370% growth and a 17.86% decrease, respectively, while Petco Health and WellnessInc recorded a decline of 10.42% with 43 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.9%, down by 38.58% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.16% share, registered a decline of 23.36% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.48% share, down 24.5% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.45%, recording a month-on-month decline of 29.63%.
