The US’s packaging industry registered a 6.2% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.2% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.62% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.02% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.66% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry in July 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 34.83% in July 2022, registering a 16.28% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 23.19% share, a decrease of 16.21% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 22.81%, registering a 5.91% decline from June 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 10.31%, down 26.53% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 4.76% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Ball posted 134 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 9.84% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 54 jobs and a 1.82% drop. Bunge with 41 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 40 jobs, recorded a 46.43% growth and a 41.18% decrease, respectively, while Petco Health and WellnessInc recorded an increase of 85.71% with 39 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.73%, down by 22.04% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.71% share, registered an increase of 0.78% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.84% share, down 25.89% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.72%, recording a month-on-month decline of 5.26%.
