US packaging industry IT recruitment activity rises 14.1% in February 2022

The US’s packaging industry registered a 14.1% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 11.5% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.56% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.13% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in the US’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry in February 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 52.55% in February 2022, registering a 20.35% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18.27% share, an increase of 32.42% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.78%, registering an 11.98% rise from January 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.71%, up 24.09% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 149.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

The J. R. Simplot posted 217 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Ball with 102 jobs and a 20.31% drop. Nestle with 85 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 79 jobs, recorded a 672.73% growth and a 54.9% growth, respectively, while PepsiCo recorded an increase of 120.69% with 64 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.32%, up by 22.28% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.76% share, registered an increase of 23.97% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.09% share, up 18.82% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.82%, recording a month-on-month decline of 7.14%.
