The US’s packaging industry registered a 3.0% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 8.89% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.29% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.18% in September 2021, registering a 7.57% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.01% share, an increase of 3.65% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.97%, registering a 29.59% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.54%, down 12.07% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 10.3% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Ball posted 263 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 10.5% over the previous month, followed by Carrier Global with 85 jobs and a 107.32% growth. Hallmark Cards with 33 IT jobs and JBS with 32 jobs, recorded a 32% flat growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Reckitt Benckiser Group recorded a decline of 43.48% with 26 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.5%, down by 11.19% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 24.62% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 23.95% share, down 8.63% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.92%, recording a month-on-month increase of 22.22%.
