The US’s packaging industry registered a 5.6% rise in IT hiring activity in January 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.45% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.57% share in January 2022, recording an increase of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the US’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in January 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.87% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry in January 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 53.04% in January 2022, registering a 25.99% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 16.41% share, an increase of 5.37% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.75%, registering a 38.17% rise from December 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.18%, up 30.1% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in January 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 37.28% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during January 2022 over December 2022.
Ball posted 135 IT jobs in January 2022 and registered a drop of 23.73% over the previous month, followed by HelloFresh with 79 jobs and a flat growth. Haier Group with 66 IT jobs and Carrier Global with 53 jobs, recorded a 288.24% growth and a 32.5% growth, respectively, while Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. recorded an increase of 11.11% with 50 job postings during January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in January 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.32%, up by 32.12% from December 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.09% share, registered an increase of 15.27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.53% share, up 17.89% over December 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.06%, recording a month-on-month decline of 17.65%.
