UK-based label manufacturer A4 Labels has introduced a product line called Ocean Action Labels that uses ocean-bound plastic as a feedstock.
The aim is to offer packaging labels that reduce use of virgin fossil-based plastics and address plastic leakage into marine environments.

The material is made from plastic waste collected in coastal areas.
The Ocean Action Labels range includes white and clear top-coated polypropylene (PP) film produced from chemically recycled ocean-bound plastic.
The products carry ISCC PLUS certification under a mass balance approach and are intended to match the performance of standard PP film.
According to A4 Labels’ website, the white version is a waterproof film intended to be used where moisture and wear are factors while the clear version is a transparent film developed for packaging designs that use a “no-label look”.
Across both materials, the company said the films are synthetic and waterproof, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and designed for dimensional stability and tear resistance.
The launch sits alongside its Eco-Pledge partnership with Seven Clean Seas.
