For this product line extension, Ocean Potion asked Amcor to help create a new tube for a mineral-based zinc oxide sunscreen lotion made for children’s skin.

Ocean Potion wanted the pack to feature a reflective blue gradient on the lower half of the tube and a yellow cap matching the brand logo shown at the top.

Ocean Potion general manager Rasheda Jackson said: “Amcor has been a great partner to us for years, and this work on our new mineral sunscreen product line extension was no exception.

“We value the creativity, agility, attention to detail and technical skills that Amcor brings to every project. This complex artwork will make a splash on shelves as families prepare to get outdoors.”

The design led to several printing and production issues, which they addressed during development.

Amcor and Ocean Potion used a process with several layers of flexographic printing to create a ripple-like effect in the blue area of the tube.

The companies said all 12 stations on the printing press were used in producing the final look.

The tube was made with uninterrupted 360° graphics, despite seam-related difficulties often associated with metallic foil and inks in tube forming.

A clear overlaminate was applied to protect the inks and maintain the artwork over time.

Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions North America product line director Zach Scheller said: “We were excited to welcome the Ocean Potion team to our Creative Services Studio in Evansville to collaborate on their vision for this product line extension.

“When we completed this tube design together, we knew we’d created something truly special. It’s a fresh look that’s ready for summer fun in the sun.”

Amcor posted adjusted net income of $570m for the fourth quarter of 2026, up 40% from the same quarter of the previous year, which it said was largely driven by the integration of plastic packaging company Berry.
