American Packaging Corporation (APC) has rolled out a cuboid pouch named APC FlexCube, targeting space utilisation across freight networks and retail shelves.
Its geometric layout optimises the product-to-package ratio for large items, maximising shelf impact, highlighted the firm.

The manufacturer supplies the pouch in various substrate compositions, incorporating specifications from its RE Sustainable Packaging catalogue.
These include selections containing recycled post-consumer polymers alongside structures engineered for recycling.
This allows manufacturers to balance barrier criteria, visual presentation, and sustainable targets, including limiting virgin plastic consumption.
Compared to rigid vessels and standard flexible pouches, the rectilinear layout reduces void space above the contents.
Containers arrive collapsed prior to filling and nest compactly into outer cases once loaded, minimising dead space and potentially lowering corrugated carton and haulage requirements.
Relative to rigid alternatives, the format decreases overall raw material demand and lowers associated carbon emissions, noted APC.
The self-standing profile remains stable on retail shelving, offering broad exterior facets for product information and branding.
Intended as a substitute for rigid canisters, tubs, and jugs, as well as standard stand-up and flat-bottom bags, the design accommodates animal feed, horticultural supplies, health supplements, fabric and dishwashing detergents, coffee, breakfast grains, confectionery, baking ingredients, and general dry food goods.
APC research & development vice president Seth Holmen said: “APC FlexCube demonstrates how innovative package engineering can create tremendous value by delivering more efficient use of space and volume.
“Its resourceful geometry gives brands a compelling shelf presence while helping them reduce headspace, optimise material use and pursue packaging solutions that support their sustainability objectives.”
