Sustainable aluminium packaging solutions provider Ball Corporation has entered an agreement with Coors Light to introduce Ball Aluminum Cup at the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
As part of this collaboration, 100,000 20oz aluminium cups will be available in the club seats at all events once activities begin at Allegiant Stadium.
Ball developed the lightweight aluminium cup in response to the increasing demand for more sustainable options.
Ball global beverage packaging chief operating officer Daniel Fisher said: “We’re proud to team up with Coors Light to bring fans at Allegiant Stadium an enhanced beverage experience and sustainable hospitality options from the start with our game-changing and infinitely recyclable aluminium cup.
“We introduced the aluminium cup to meet the growing demand for more sustainable packaging choices, and we’re excited that our partnership with Coors Light will give fans visiting Allegiant Stadium an opportunity to further their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle.”
The partnership is in line with Molson Coors strategy to support the Allegiant Stadium’s sustainability goals, as well as their own.
Molson Coors manufactures Coors Light, the stadium’s official domestic beer. It is also manufacturing the official craft beer, Hop Valley, and official hard seltzer, Vizzy.
Molson Coors North America partnership and licensing director Adam Dettman said: “We’re proud to continue this history by partnering with Ball to ultimately provide fans with an eco-conscious experience, and a built-in piece of memorabilia that guests can take home after enjoying a game or event at Allegiant Stadium.”
Allegiant Stadium is joining other professional football stadiums that feature the Ball Aluminium Cup at scale.
In October, Ball Corporation launched an official partnership with London-based Arsenal Football Club, designed to reduce their impact on the environment.
