Italian food company Barilla has selected the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform from Dassault Systèmes to digitally streamline the creation of product labelling across its worldwide operations.
Dassault’s ‘Perfect Package’ provides a labelling solution and secures digital access to the company’s up-to-date product information. This accelerates label design and approval while improving quality and lowering label creation costs.
The company’s platform has artwork and labelling capabilities, enabling Barilla to streamline label design and approval, cut down artwork design time, and enhance regulatory compliance.
The food company sought to streamline the artwork and labelling creation process so as to reduce packaging development times and costs.
Barilla IT business process support director Marco Rossi said that with the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, all of the company’s stakeholders can collaborate from idea generation to validation of the final Barilla package using a digital representation of the same master label.
"No more working on outdated samples and making decisions that have to eventually be rescinded, which drove our costs up and our response time down. With this solution, we can digitally exchange ideas faster, more intuitively, and with few-to-no packaging recalls," Rossi added.
