US-based flexible plastics packaging company Bema has announced plans to open a new facility in St Charles, Illinois, US.

The company said that it will occupy 70,000ft² of space, which will include warehousing.

The firm will initially manufacture film extrusion, which processes plastic resin into the plastic film that is used in food, pet food and industrial packaging.

Bema specialises in extruding, printing, laminating and converting plastics.
