Making the Packaging System Fit the Circular Economy

For the packaging industry to achieve a sustainable future, it needs to dramatically increase circularity and the reuse of materials. This document by Siegwerk – a global leader in inks and coatings for packaging – delves into solving the plastic paradox, looks at the relevance of bioplastics, and sets out ways to not only achieve circularity in packaging but also make it economically viable. Furthermore, the document goes into detail on how printing inks and coatings are vital for enabling circularity in packaging. Ultimately, the packaging system needs to be reconfigured for a circular future. And consumers are expecting the packaging industry to play its part in progress. The acquisition is part of Berlin Packaging’s commitment to offering packaging solutions in all segments of the market across Europe.

Roma International is the company’s 12th European acquisition since 2016.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

Roma International managing director Steve Excell said: “Becoming part of the Berlin Packaging group offers Roma International huge opportunities, and I know our employees, customers and suppliers will all thrive as a result.
