Swiss packaging machinery provider BOBST has signed a close cooperation agreement with tapes and self-adhesive product solutions supplier tesa to offer solutions for the printing and converting industry.

As part of the agreement, which came into effect in January this year, the parties will combine their expertise in market requirements and technical facilities to develop new and bespoke solutions to address customer requirements and the growing market demands.

BOBST’s customers can use tesa’s advanced plate mounting tapes and other solutions to reduce job preparation and press setup time.

They will offer high-quality products with at an improved consistency and repeatability rate while improving sustainability by reducing waste.

CI Flexo Product Marketing head Frank Jurczyk said: “BOBST is pleased to take the next step in the established relationship with tesa, as we strengthen the cooperation between the two businesses to provide an all-inclusive solutions package of equipment and consumables.

The partnership is in line with BOBST’s ongoing effort to offer comprehensive solutions aimed at maximising productivity and reducing waste for its customers.

Supplier tesa, which is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, offers products used in CI and inline flexographic printing for flexible packaging, labels, corrugated boxes and folding cartons.

In February this year, BOBST registered full-year consolidated sales of Sfr1.84bn ($1.96bn) for fiscal year 2022, up by 17.8% from fiscal year 2021.
