The 71-inch wide LED Nozomi press, which is expected to be installed in the fourth quarter of this year, is equipped with a single-pass, piezo grayscale inkjet writing system that delivers accurate, high-fidelity colour, including consistent reproduction on solid areas.

It is capable of operating at speeds of up to 246 linear feet per minute, or up to 10,000 35×35-inch boards per hour two-up.

Access to EFI’s digital printing technologies will enable Carmel Frenkel to reduce turnaround times for new projects and produce smaller quantities or versions of jobs.

The press also features the advanced EFI Fiery NZ-1000 DFE print server and production system, which offers improved performance, colour quality, advanced production tools, and efficient job management.

Furthermore, EFI Fiery NZ-1000 will facilitate the production of versioned/multi-SKU work or even personalised packaging at full speed.

Meanwhile, the installation of the Corrugated Packaging Suite MES workflow will enable plant-wide management and integration of digital production for a full, end-to-end business and production framework.
