China-based Newamstar Packaging Machinery (Newamstar) has bought more than 100 sets of ZW3D’s computer-aided design / computer-aided manufacturing (CAD / CAM) solution.
The company will use the solutions to design packaging and blow moulding machines, in order to manufacture liquid bottles and mechanical parts.
The newly bought integrated CAD / CAM solution is powered by Overdrive kernel and based on solid-surface hybrid modelling technologies.
It allows packages to be designed with high-quality surfaces and innovative styles.
The solution's file translator will allow Newamstar to leverage its existing 2D data and adopt ZW3D in a short period of time.
ZW3D has provided customised technical support regarding the use of the solution to Newamstar.
Newamstar Packaging Machinery CAD engineer Li Gong said: “ZW3D’s design functionalities are on a par with mainstream 3D CAD software.
“More than that, its intelligent and user-friendly workflow greatly helps improve modelling efficiency.”
With the new CAD / CAM software, Newamstar aims to expand its global presence in the packaging machinery industry.
Newamstar provides medium-temperature canning and aseptic cold filling technologies in China.
The company also serves various international beverage brands such as Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, Danone, C’estbon and Aoke from more than 70 countries and regions including Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, America and Africa.
Auto parts company Sango recently selected ZW3D's CAD / CAM solution to make use of its 3D platform.
