Continental Printing Solutions head of the flexographic printing business area Jens Löschner emphasised the significant changes witnessed in the sector in recent years.

Innovations in pre-press techniques, anilox rollers, digital plate technology and dedicated presses have expanded the application of flexographic printing. It now extends beyond its traditional confines, encompassing diverse areas such as folding cartons, labels and flexible packaging.

Continental’s Axcyl mounting sleeves have become a staple in the flexographic printing realm, catering to various types of flexographic printing machines.

These mounting sleeves stand out due to their composite honeycomb structure, offering advantages like lightweight design, exceptional stiffness and stability.

Notably, the product design minimises vibrations emanating from the printing plate, reducing press bounce. This innovation enables high levels of productivity and print quality, even at remarkably high printing speeds.

In parallel, Conti Laserline is expanding its product line for flexographic printing, introducing versatile printing plates and sleeve technology compatible with water- or solvent-based and UV-curing ink systems.

Streamlined solutions from continental

Jens Löschner, expressing the company’s commitment to its customers, stated: “Our customers will now have access to an extended product range, all sourced from a single provider. They stand to benefit from our global presence and collective expertise.”

This strategic expansion positions Continental as a one-stop solution provider for businesses in the flexographic printing industry, offering a wide array of technologies designed to enhance efficiency and quality.

The company’s participation at LabelExpo Europe 2023 is anticipated to draw attention to the ever-evolving landscape of printing technology, emphasising its dedication to driving innovation in the sector.
