Cromwell Polythene has launched a new packaging division and a restructured field sales operation in the UK.
The packaging arm of Cromwell will supply general purpose bags, including food grade polythene bags and liners, as well as a range of grip-seal bags in clear polythene and in virgin food grade material to packaging merchants and the packaging industry.
Cromwell Polythene managing director James Lee said: "The reorganisation of the sales team by region will considerably enhance our efficiency and improve customer service at a local level, while retaining an industry focus for those with specialist sector skills.
"Alongside the external restructuring we are modifying the way in which we channel enquiries and manage order processing in the sales office, with each member of the field sales team paired with an office-based account manager who has detailed customer knowledge, which will streamline the whole operation."
Meanwhile, the company has named Niall McClintock as the sales head of the newly created packaging division.
He will be managing particularly the east of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Based in Leeds, Cromwell Polythene distributes polyethylene and compostable sacks, bags and speciality products for the storage and collection of waste and recyclables.
It offers biodegradable bags, disposable gloves and powder-free examination gloves.
The company also offers tailor-make products either in virgin or up to 100% recycled material.
Cromwell Polythene currently operates under councils, industrial and commercial, waste management, healthcare and janitorial divisions.
