Operational since late 2025, the St. Charles site provides a base for CuBE’s US operations alongside its primary location in Aurora, Ontario, the single-site food storage injection moulding facilities in North America.
The current project will add manufacturing jobs in St. Charles and the Fox Valley area.
CuBE CEO Philippe Erhart said: “St. Charles gives us a scalable American manufacturing platform, brings us closer to our customers, and provides the capacity, automation, and infrastructure to support their growth for years to come.”
Established in 2009, the manufacturer produces reusable, recyclable polypropylene food containers designed to be microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe.
It supplies grocery, retail, restaurant, and foodservice accounts in the US and Canada.
The first phase of the site development is complete and running, with subsequent stages scheduled to continue through 2027.
St. Charles Mayor Clint Hull said: “A strong economic base includes a healthy mix of businesses and industries, and manufacturing is an important part of that mix.
“CuBE’s multi-million-dollar investment demonstrates confidence in St. Charles as a place where businesses can grow and succeed, and we look forward to the company’s continued success.”
CuBE Packaging is a portfolio company of Kent Road Capital.
Kent Road partner Ian Kessler said: “CuBE’s management team has delivered best-in-class growth while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and customer service. The St. Charles expansion positions CuBE to serve its U.S. customers with greater speed, scale, and resilience, and we are excited to support the team through this next phase of growth.”
