Imbibe has collaborated with Ball Corporation to avail the latter’s Widget Inside™ can technology for its nitrogen-infused beverages.

Ball’s Widget Inside™ aluminium beverage can is designed to provide consumers with a nitro-draft experience in an on-the-go format.

The collaboration will enable Imbibe to develop new products based on the textural and taste characteristics offered by Ball’s can technology.

Imbibe and Ball plan to apply the nitrogen-infused product’s concept to other categories including tea, juice and protein water.

Imbibe is a beverage development company, while Ball Corporation is a producer of glass jars, lids, and other related products used for home canning.

Both companies are based in the US.

RPC Superfos has provided a packaging solution for Sweden-based mature cheese manufacturer Skånemejerier.

The new solution is a wedge-shaped pack with an oxygen-barrier label that enables customers to avoid using a plate and finger-contact to serve the product.

The pack is a fully recyclable solution made from injection-moulded polypropylene and features an inner plastic seal. It allows customers to re-seal and store the cheese by replacing the top cover.

Ecolean has signed an agreement with Pakistan-based dairy company At-Tahur to provide a packaging solution for the latter’s premium fresh milk brand Prema.

The new packaging solution is a portion-sized package called Ecolean® Air 250ml, which is available with easy to open and pour options suitable for milk products.

At-Tahur launched the 250ml size pack to reach a bigger consumer group buying fresh milk for on-the-go and individual servings.

Metamark UK has announced the acquisition of Trimwell.

Trimwell will continue to trade under the same name and operate from its headquarters in Dublin, following the transaction.

Based in the UK, Metamark is a manufacturer and supplier of self-adhesive SignVinyl and speciality materials, while Trimwell is an Irish supplier of sign and banner materials to the signage and digital printing industry.

The acquisition will strengthen Metamark’s presence in the Irish market and expand its product portfolio.

Imperial Bag & Paper has acquired US-based janitorial and paper supplies distributor, Gulf Coast Paper.

Operating as Imperial Dade, Imperial Bag & Paper is a US-based distributor of paper and plastic packaging products.

The acquisition enables Imperial Dade to enter the Texas market.
