Krones has taken over the business operations and assets of its partner Shanghai Xiantong Equipment Installation to expand its global footprint.

Krones has taken over the business operations and assets of its partner Shanghai Xiantong Equipment Installation to expand its global footprint.

Based in China, Xiantong has been supplying process technology to Krones Taicang for the production, installation and commissioning of process equipment for 20 years.

The transaction will help Krones meet growing demand for customised process technology solutions worldwide.

Named Krones Processing (Shanghai), the joint company will provide turnkey process technology solutions.

Krones is a manufacturer of packaging and bottling machines based in Germany.

FLtècnics has been acquired by US-based packaging firm ProMach to strengthen its position in the global stand-up pouch market.

“PCI Pharma Services and CSP Technologies have entered a collaboration agreement to perform clinical studies and stability testing using CSP’s Activ-Blister protective packaging solutions.”

FLtècnics is a Spanish manufacturer of form-fill-seal pouch packaging solutions, while ProMach supplies integrated packaging products and machinery for food and beverage applications.

ProMach has also been marketing FLtècnics products, including flexible packaging solutions such as bags, stick packs, sachets and pouches in the North American market since 2014.

Pearl Technologies has merged with machine knife maker TGW Holdings (TGW) to form a combined business called Edge Industrial Technologies.

To be based in Wilder, Kentucky, Edge Industrial Technologies will manufacture a variety of products for the packaging, food processing, converting and extrusion sectors.

The product portfolio of the combined company will include blades, punches, machine knives, cutters, perforators, machine adapters, ball punches, air cylinders, bubble guides, bubble guides, assemblies, and chilled bubble cages.

Pearl Technologies is a US-based provider of flexible packaging and blown film solutions.

PCI Pharma Services and CSP Technologies have entered a collaboration agreement to perform clinical studies and stability testing using CSP’s Activ-Blister protective packaging solutions.

The solution will help achieve optimal shelf life and faster speed-to-market for pharmaceutical and medical device products.

CSP Technologies manufactures and supplies protection solutions and consumer packing to protect products in a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics, food safety sectors.

PCI offers outsourced commercial packaging, drug manufacturing and clinical trial services to the healthcare market.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.
