Frontera Foods and Red Fork have sold their packaged food businesses to ConAgra Foods, a packaged food company based in Chicago, for an undisclosed sum.

ConAgra Foods has acquired the Frontera, Red Fork and Salpica brands as part of the transaction from Rick Bayless, the founding chef of Frontera Foods and Red Forks.

These brands make gourmet Mexican food and contemporary American cooking sauces.

The transaction did not include any restaurants.

Naturally Splendid Enterprises will acquire the packaging equipment of Canadian snack manufacturer Eat Real Snack Food Canada.

The two companies will enter a three-year service agreement, under which Naturally Splendid will provide processing and packaging services to Eat Real Snack Food.

Huntington Foam, a provider of custom shape-moulded foam and packaging solutions, has been acquired by Millstein & Co., a diversified investment management and financial services company.

As part of the transaction, some of the existing Huntington Foam executives have become minority shareholders in the company by making equity investments.

Resolute Forest Products is to acquire the assets of Tembec's sawmill located in Senneterre, Quebec, according to a binding agreement signed between the companies.

The agreement includes Tembec's sawmill and forest operations, as well as the transfer of employees at the Senneterre sawmill.

Resolute Forest Products manufacture commercial printing papers, market pulp, packaging paper and wood products.
