The Netherlands-based chemical company, LyondellBasell Industries, has announced a public offering of 3.5% guaranteed notes to raise gross proceeds of $1bn.

The Netherlands-based chemical company, LyondellBasell Industries, has announced a public offering of 3.5% guaranteed notes to raise gross proceeds of $1bn.

The notes, due 2 March 2027, are priced at 98.968% of the principal amount.

LyondellBasell plans to use the funds to either redeem or repay 5% of its senior notes due 2019.

DS Smith has developed a new pack design for Schneider Electric using its PackRight approach, which will help to reduce waste and packaging costs.

The design eliminates the need for paper inserts as it prints the instructions onto the packaging itself.

DS Smith is a packaging company based in the UK, while Schneider Electric is an electrical products manufacturer based in France.
