Olam International has reached an agreement to issue 3.65% fixed-rate senior unsecured notes due 2022 to raise $50m in a private placement. Interest on the notes will be paid semi-annually in arrears.

The company has engaged JPMorgan Chase & Co. as the sole manager for the transaction.

Olam is a Singapore-based company specialised in sourcing, processing, packaging and merchandising agricultural products and food ingredients.

US-based corrugated packaging company WestRock plans to raise $500m through a private placement of 3% senior notes due 2024.

"Packaging Corporation of America has also entered a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the membership interests of Northern Sheets."

The company also proposes to raise $500m as an aggregate principal amount in a private placement of 3.375% senior notes due 2027.

Packaging Corporation of America has agreed to acquire the assets of Sacramento Container Corporation for $265m in an all-cash deal.

The company is set to acquire full-line corrugated products and sheet feeder operations in McClellan and Kingsburg, California, US.

Packaging Corporation of America has also entered a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the membership interests of Northern Sheets, a joint venture (JV) between Sacramento Container, Schwarz Partners and Central California Sheets.

The company manufactures containerboard and uncoated free-sheet solutions, while Sacramento Container produces corrugated containers for food and beverage industries.
