Siegwerk, a printing inks manufacturer based in Germany, intends to acquire Schekolin’s Plastic Tubes and Laminates business unit.
A deal has been signed between the two companies for the acquisition, while the financial details have not been disclosed.

Following the acquisition, the acquirer company will be able to offer a full-range of ultraviolet (UV) inks and varnishes for packaging applications.
Danimer Scientific, a biotechnology company based in the US, is set to develop biodegradable film resins for PepsiCo.
The films will be used by the latter for packaging of its existing snack food and beverage range and will include Danimer’s Nodax polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) bioplastic.
