Södra has agreed to develop fully biodegradable, fibre-based packaging for Svensk Butikskött, a meat products manufacturer.

A forestry co-operative based in Sweden, Södra intends to use its Durapulp renewable material for the packaging solution.

Developed from forest raw material, Durapulp is water-resistant, durable, biodegradable and recyclable.

Carbios has contracted TechnipFMC to advance its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) enzymatic recycling process from laboratory to pilot scale to enable the production of PET from plastic waste.

TechnipFMC will help Carbios to enhance its PET recycling process, under the contract.

Carbios is a green chemistry company based in France.
