German TeeGschwendner has selected Sappi’s paper-based packaging solution for MasterBag Pyramid teabags. 

German TeeGschwendner has selected Sappi’s paper-based packaging solution for MasterBag Pyramid teabags.

Sappi Guard barrier paper comes with integrated barrier functionality, which provides protection for TeeGschwendner’s tea.

The move will support TeeGschwendner’s aim to improve sustainability by using packaging made from renewable raw materials.

Based in Germany, TeeGschwendner is a tea retailer, while Sappi is a pulp and paper firm in South Africa.

Lazy Foods has chosen RPC Bebo Deventer’s multi-layer thermoformed pot, RO 115 cup, to package its range of preservative-free dips.

The multi-layer polypropylene structure of the packaging prevents oxygen ingress and ensures a shelf-life of 30-40 days.

Lazy Foods is a food company based in the Netherlands, while RPC Bebo is a UK-based designer of plastic products for packaging and non-packaging markets.

SIG has formed a partnership with Amcor to responsibly source the aluminium used its carton packs from certified sources.

The collaboration aims to meet the performance standards set by the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI).

Ardagh Group has developed a new 750ml mineral water glass bottle for Lithuanian water brand Tiche.

Ardagh designed the bottle using its narrow-neck press and blow (NNPB) production method and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) technology.

Based in Luxembourg, Ardagh is a producer of glass and metal products, while Tiche is a mineral water company based in Lithuania.

Mohawk Fine Papers has chosen Case Paper to exclusively distribute its new product, Mohawk Silk.

Mohawk Silk is a 96 bright coated paper manufactured using wind-power and is available in 80lb and 100lb in both text and cover weights.

Mohawk Fine Papers is a paper manufacturer, while Case Paper is a printing and packaging company. Both companies are based in the US.

Inalpi has installed DS Smith’s Bag-in-Box packaging system for its food industry applications.

DS Smith’s Rapak Autokap 600 series Bag-in-Box packaging system has been adapted to Inalpi’s processing systems.

Inalpi is an Italian dairy supplying firm for the foodservice, retail, and industrial culinary preparation sectors, while DS Smith is a UK-based provider of flexible packaging and dispensing solutions.
