Multiwall bag manufacturer Drumheller Packaging is expanding the production capacity at its plant in Clarksdale, Mississippi, US.
The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA)-backed project, which represents a $360,000 corporate investment, is expected to create 20 new jobs.
MDA executive director Brent Christensen said: "Working with our economic development partners throughout the state, we aim to provide a business environment that encourages growth and fosters sustainable success for Mississippi's new and existing companies.
"MDA is glad to have played a role in helping Drumheller Packaging expand and create new job opportunities for the residents of Coahoma County.
"We thank our partners at Coahoma County and at the Clarksdale/Coahoma County Chamber of Commerce for working with us to make this expansion possible."
The company has secured funding from the state, which will be used in the rehabilitation of its existing facility.
Work under the expansion includes the installation of new equipment.
Drumheller Packaging designs and manufactures multiwall paper and textile bags for a wide range of commercial, agricultural and industrial users.
The company also offers custom design, foil lamination and flexographic printing services and provides packaging, inspection, distribution and delivery services.
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant said: "Mississippi's existing businesses, such as Drumheller Packaging, comprise the backbone of the state's economy.
"When they choose to expand, it serves as a testament to companies around the country and globe that Mississippi is open for business and that great things are happening in our state.
"I thank the team at Drumheller Packaging for creating these new job opportunities for the residents of the Delta and for its commitment to the city of Clarksdale and Coahoma County."
