UK-based corrugated packaging group DS Smith has agreed to purchase bag-in-box systems manufacturer Parish Manufacturing for an undisclosed sum.
Based in the US, Parish also provides bag-in-box and custom packaging for various liquids used in the food, beverage, water, food service, and chemical industries.
Subject to certain customary completion conditions, the deal is expected to complement DS Smith’s expertise and position in flexible packaging and liquid dispensing markets under its Rapak brand.
The proposed acquisition is scheduled to be concluded by the first quarter of next year.
DS Smith CEO Miles Roberts said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Parish into the DS Smith Group and building on our leading Flexible Packaging business.
“The proposed acquisition will further enhance our customer offering in this important and growing market segment.”
