Advanced digital printing technology solutions provider Durst has unveiled a new UV inkjet single-pass press for small and medium converters.
Designed in line with the company’s ‘Configure Your Digital Future’ theme, the new Tau 330 RSC E UV inkjet single-pass press is equipped with Durst’s proprietary RSC technology.
The model’s native resolution is 1,200dpi x 1,200dpi with its smallest drop size of 2px to offer sharp images. It is available in 330mm and 244mm print widths, providing four colours or four colours and white option in full-speed mode.
The Tau 330 RSC E UV inkjet single-pass press will also be field upgradable to the full Durst Tau RSC high-speed press at eight colours and 78 linear metres/min (245ft/min).
Durst Label & Packaging Printing segment manager Helmuth Munter said: “During the development of the Dust Tau 330 RSC E, a special focus was dedicated to the upgradeability and flexibility of the press.
“This is an important addition to the Durst Tau RSC family of variable, versatile, adjustable and configurable machine systems.
“Affordable digital label printing is now available to increasing numbers of converters and printers.”
With the new model, the converts can achieve a production capability of 1,020m²/h with a printing speed of 52m/min at full colour, including white. It also optimises operating costs by reducing ink consumption.
All options from the Tau 330 RSC model can also be equipped into the new model such as the chill roller, variable data printing and the external jumbo winders.
Durst is offering the new UV inkjet single-pass press available at a price of €350,000.
