Xeikon’s dry-toner electrophotography technology will now add to Eticon’s existing flexo and liquid ElectroInk printing technologies to expand its capacity and increase its offerings range.

The 19.2m/min (63ft/min) Xeikon 3300 has a variable web width ranging from 200mm (7.9 inches) up to 330mm (13 inches). The device can handle production volumes of up to 380m²/h.

Ramirez continued: "This allows us to be more creative with our production and to continually expand the range of applications we can offer to our customers."

Eticom also considered other decision criteria besides the web width, which included that the press meets FDA and food certification standards and that it delivers high-quality print due to the Xeikon QA-I dry toner technology.

Eticom specialises in self-adhesive labels for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries that require high-end labels.

The company has two facilities in Mexico City and Monterrey and operates with sixteen flexo presses and two high-end digital presses.
