Packaging supplier Evergreen by Novolex is preparing to unveil its SmartPour dry filling machine, built to operate in conjunction with the firm’s SmartPour carton range.
The manufacturer states that the apparatus provides “speed, accuracy and consistency” across dry-ingredient packaging operations.

Capable of processing 50 cartons every minute, the system is positioned as a direct replacement for existing dry filling hardware.
The unit is intended to address irregular filling volumes and prevent product spillage on commercial packing lines.
Alongside the machinery, Evergreen will present an initial overview of EverIQ, a digital infrastructure developed to consolidate packaging materials, production machinery and plant performance data within a single network.
Scheduled functions for the software encompass predictive servicing tools to curb unscheduled downtime, automated diagnostic and quality oversight mechanisms, and production analytics aimed at lowering scrap rates and stabilising output.
The accompanying SmartPour containers incorporate a resealable pouring aperture targeted at dry, free-flowing goods, including breakfast cereals, crackers, savoury snacks, baking supplies, pet food, powders and prepared formulas.
By removing the requirement for an internal plastic pouch, the format is designed to avoid the spillage associated with conventional bag-in-box alternatives, the company said.
Internal barrier materials and the reclosable fitment are intended to preserve shelf life, while the carton structure is designed to retain its profile for retail display and withstand transit handling during home deliveries.
Novolex industrial & beverage international president Marco Hilty said: “We have more than 70 years of experience manufacturing gable top cartons and the filling equipment that runs them.
“With SmartPour, we’re applying decades of equipment expertise to an entirely new machine for the next generation of dry, pourable packaging. As we continue to innovate, we’re also developing digital solutions like EverIQ that are designed to help customers optimise performance, improve quality and gain greater insight into their operations.”
