Packaging manufacturer Fortis Solutions Group has purchased US-based pressure sensitive labels and flexible packaging printer Kala Packaging.
Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Based in Orem, Utah, Kala Packaging provides content printing, anti-counterfeit and security solutions, and food safe flexible packaging, as well as pouches.
The company’s solutions are used by customers in various markets such as food and beverage, health and beauty and nutraceutical.
Fortis president and CEO John Wynne, Jr said: “With its fleet of digital presses and top tier flexographic printing technology, Maui Chai and the Kala team have established a national presence in the quick turn labels and flexible packaging markets.
“We are fortunate to join forces with such an outstanding team and are excited to further the value-added offerings we provide.”

Following this deal, Fortis plans to continue acquisitions with the aim of expanding footprints and product offerings.
In 2018, Fortis acquired Premier Georgia Printing and Labels and Austin Label Company.
