Glenroy

Flexible packaging converter Glenroy has agreed to acquire pouch converting operations of PF Flexibles for an undisclosed amount.

An agreement for this was concluded by Glenroy on 16 January, reports Healthcare Packaging.

Formerly known as Pouch Converting Technologies, PF Flexibles produces stand-up pouches that are suitable for liquid packaging.

"Glenroy will procure a wide range of pouch converting equipment and be able to offer in-house premade pouch converting capabilities in the industry."

Commenting on the acquisition, Glenroy president and CEO Richard Buss was quoted by Healthcare Packaging as saying: "With stand-up pouch usage continually increasing, the acquisition of PF Flexibles, combined with Glenroy’s 50 years of experience in flexible packaging, allows us to provide top-quality custom-engineered pouches.

"This supports our mission of providing the highest level of service to our customers."

Founded in 1965, Glenroy has more than 150 employees and 226,000ft² of facilities in south-east Wisconsin. The company offers packaging film, surface printable packaging film, balloon film, laminating film, and stand-up pouches.

Glenroy is a member of the Flexographic Technical Associtation, Flexible Packaging Association, and The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies.
