Sweden-based Iggesund Paperboard has established inventory position and sheeting capabilities in Pomona, California, US, in order to make its flagship product Invercote readily available to the print and packaging market.
The move is in line with the company’s plan to expand its distribution network globally and promote its broader service concept, which involves offering its resources and support functions to its existing and potential customers.
This is also expected to boost its service platform outside Europe.
Iggesund Americas president Rickard Österlindh said: "We’ve been in the US for more than 30 years but our distribution footprint has been concentrated on the east coast.
"Now is the time to increase our presence on the West Coast, where we know there is a density of brand owners who will appreciate the quality level we offer with Invercote."
Iggesund will focus its sales and marketing initiatives on premium packaging and graphical print applications.
