Foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies distributor Imperial Dade has expanded its presence on West Coast with the acquisition of Moresco.

Headquartered in Petaluma, California, US, Moresco is a foodservice packaging distributor. It is owned and operated by Ron Moresco.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the private transaction.

Imperial Dade president Jason Tillis said: “We are excited to grow our presence across the West Coast and look forward to partnering with Ron and the Moresco team to capitalise on the many growth opportunities that we see ahead for the business.”

Moresco, which has close to 30 years of experience, will be able to offer customised service along with expanded offerings by leveraging Imperial Dade’s platform and existing northern California presence.

In a separate development, Imperial Dade also announced the acquisition of East Continental Supplies (EC Supplies).

EC Supplies, which is headquartered in Miami-Dade County, Florida, has more than 17 years of experience in distributing janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment.

The company operates from one facility in Florida. With this deal, the Imperial Dade platform will operate 81 facilities in the country.

Imperial Dade CEO Robert Tillis said: “EC Supplies strong reputation of outstanding customer service in Miami-Dade, West Palm and Broward counties make the company a great addition to Imperial Dade and will further enhance our offering to customers.”

Imperial Dade serves more than 65,000 customers across the US and Puerto Rico.

In December last year, Imperial Dade reached an agreement to purchase US-based industrial paper products provider Jackson Newell Paper Company.
