Germany-based rigid film manufacturer Klöckner Pentaplast and Snapsil have developed a new packaging solution, Pentafood snapsil, which can be either squeezed or dipped.
Offering a new time-saving packaging solution, Pentafood snapsil provides a single hand as well as easy opening and dispensing control capabilities.
The newly launched solution allows brand owners to reduce the total costs of ownership, and can be customised according to the requirements of various products.
Pentafood snapsil is suitable for packing liquids, powders, granules, liquid food, gels and lotions.
Klöckner Pentaplast food and consumer packaging innovation director Rainer Schlicht said: “On-the-go consumption and consumer convenience trigger a move away from classical packaging formats into handy, portable and easy to use packaging designs.”
Separately, the company has launched a new line of pharmaceutical blister films under Pentapharm LiquiGuard portfolio.
The new Pentapharm LiquiGuard enables the formation of hot and cold-fill liquids and semi-solids, which can be directly packaged in a crystal-clear, thermostable laminate film that protects sensitive products from package leaching and moisture gain or loss.
The films can be used for various applications, including chewables, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, formulations sensitive to flavour or odour loss, unit dose liquids and veterinary packaging.
They also offer high heat stability, low leachability and extractability with odour and flavour retention ability.
