German company Koenig and Bauer Coding is planning to expand its presence in tertiary packaging coding and in the Scandinavian marking and coding industry, following its acquisition of Swedish firm All-Print Group.
All-Print Holding is a majority shareholder in Svenska Allen and All-Print i Linköping, which are involved in marking and coding technologies. The acquisition enables Koenig and Bauer Coding to add print and apply technologies to its portfolio.
Investment is also expected to expand the direct sales and service network to Scandinavia.
Print and apply technologies of All-Print i Linköping bring an entire range of products to Koenig and Bauer Coding’s portfolio for the packaging market.
Koenig and Bauer Coding, which already has a presence in the primary and secondary packaging market, is expected to benefit from the sales and service team of Svenska Allen to serve customers in Scandinavia.
All-Print Holding CEO Magnus Folcke said: “With more than 30 years of experience in marking and coding applications and our strong design and distribution departments, we will certainly contribute to and benefit from the growth path of Koenig and Bauer Coding. And so will our customers all over the world.”
Swedish law firm Setterwalls Advokatbyrå provided professional support for the transaction.
Koenig and Bauer Coding CEO Oliver Volland said: “This acquisition is of significant importance for our operations and substantially adds to the range of capabilities that we can offer our customers.
“We are delighted to welcome the All-Print group members in the company. Together, we can add an even wider choice of sustainable solutions to our offering.”
Koenig and Bauer Coding is involved in the development, design, production and marketing of printing, coding and marking technology.
