Linpac has introduced a new range of rigid polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) solutions for use in the food service market.

The new range, which includes New Leaf, Pyramid Packs, Bol and event platters, complements Linpac’s existing portfolio of EPS Hotpacs, catering trays, plates and bowls.

It features a complete suite of hinged-lid and film-lidded rigid rPET solutions designed to pack prepared fresh food, such as sandwiches, salads, sushi and baked goods.

In addition, the new lightweight solution range enables customers to buy several food service packaging options from a single supplier.

"The new Linpac range can be hand or machine-packed at its on-sale location."

Made from high levels of post-consumer recyclate, Linpac’s new solutions were cleaned in-house to ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.

Linpac market development manager Mark Durston said: “Perfect for our loyal distributors, and their customers in the hotel, restaurant and catering industries, the new Linpac range can be hand or machine-packed at its on-sale location.

“Designed to deliver flexibility, with the ease of ordering from one supplier, Linpac has an extremely comprehensive offer.

“We’re pleased to deliver our innovative, functional and sustainable Linpac solutions to the food service market. We look forward to introducing exciting new additions later this year.”

The company further noted that its new packaging solutions will help food service customers to contribute to a circular economy.

Earlier this month, Linpac announced that its Pontivy site in France had recycled 98% of its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) waste in 2016.
