Loop Industries, a clean technology company, in collaboration with Bormioli Pharma, has announced the launch of a new pharmaceutical packaging bottle.

The partnership between Loop and Bormioli aims to deliver responsible packaging solutions to the global pharmaceutical sector.
The aforementioned bottle has been confirmed to release no substances of toxicological concern.
The development aligns with Bormioli’s EcoPositive initiative, which represents half of its standard catalogue and underscores its commitment to sustainable offerings in the market.
Bormioli CEO Andrea Lodetti said: “Through this collaboration with Loop we’re strengthening our role as a solid, quality and reliable partner for the pharmaceutical industry.

“Loop Industries shares our values and commitment, and together we made available a new pharma-grade sustainable solution, showing even greater safety standards than traditional ones.”
In December 2023, Loop announced that its resin met the stringent requirements of both the European Pharmacopoeia and the US Pharmacopeia, confirming its suitability for pharmaceutical packaging applications.
Loop founder and CEO Daniel Solomita said: “Through our collaboration with Bormioli Pharma, we have developed an innovative pharmaceutical packaging solution manufactured from 100% recycled virgin-quality Loop PET resin.
“This high-quality packaging alternative raises the bar for responsible solutions and helps set a new standard for sustainable packaging in the pharmaceutical industry.”
The new product is set to be showcased at Pharmapack Europe, scheduled for 24-25 January 2024 in Paris, France.
